Discover Jesus.
Psalm 1 describes a TREE planted by streams of living water. We long to help people discover Jesus and go deeper in their relationship with Him so that they can bear much fruit. We are all invited on a lifelong journey of being with, and becoming more like Jesus.
Experience Community.
We often meet around the TABLE during our Sunday gatherings. The table is a picture of belonging and participation in the Body of Christ (Luke 14). We aim to practice authentic & welcoming community; where we can laugh and cry together, where each person has a story to tell and a valuable part to play.
Be Equipped for Life.
Matthew 28 describes the mission of every follower of Jesus. Our purpose is to make, equip and send disciples into their FRONTLINE; to transform families, neighbourhoods & workplaces with the good news of Jesus. We aim to provide practical teaching and programs that encourage and challenge people in their calling.
We want to live by these values
It’s all about Jesus. We hold firmly to the belief that Jesus is the head of our church; He is our creator, sustainer and a perfect reflection of the Father. We want everything we do, say and value to point people to Jesus. (Colossians 1:15-23)
The Living Word is our source of Grace and Truth. We look to the Bible as the source of enduring wisdom for our day-to-day lives. In Jesus and his redemptive story, we hope to provide practical teaching and tools, that release people into freedom, salvation and fullness of life (John 1: 1-15).
We are all called to mission. We exist to bring the light of Christ to our community so we intentionally seek opportunities to love and serve Little Mountain. But we also take seriously our call to equip and send the body to be the light of Christ for their own families, neighbourhoods and workplaces. (Matthew 28:16-20)
We are One Body, Many Parts. We want to be a place where everyone feels welcome, a bit like a family. We want to love, listen to and learn from one another. Each person has a unique contribution to bring and valuable part to play in the body of Christ. We encourage participation over performance. (1 Corinthians 12:12-31, John 13:34-35, Colossians 3:12-14)
Kingdom Focus. The kingdom of God is bigger than just us at Little Mountain Church. We aim to support and serve alongside other local churches and organisations.
We are open to the Holy Spirit. We long for the living presence of God to move amongst us and make space to listen and respond to the work of the Spirit.
We generously give of ourselves to people in need both locally and globally.
